Can't move squadrons

Entering and using the move units/squadrons function has no effect when a a new base for relocation is selected. I can select the aircraft, base and specific unit to transfer but, when a new base is clicked on, nothing happens. Anyone know what the problem is? I am using a MS Vista machine.

is the base grey or white?

Newly built bases will be grey initially. They are not ready for use yet.
Usually about a week later they turn white and are good to go.

Either gray or white. I've tried to move squadrons to both pre-existing bases and captured bases in Italy without success.

Problem Solved; I wasn't waiting long enough (the airfields were turning white immediately). Thank you...
