from WITP to AE

Post by fre0n »

Hello everyone!

I have been playing solo WITP for a couple of years and was on a break since a while. Recently decided it was the proper time to get into WITP-AE.

I am wondering if there is a 'resources thread' for returning or new players, like an howto on the first few turns, Japanese industries, do's and no do's. I have looked a while in the forum but to not avail.

(sorry if this is a repost!)

The best way is to read through some of the AARs that have been posted. That's what I did at least [:D]

Actually I did some of that, a lot of that reading made me choose to leap to AE [8D]

I will continue to do so to help me get things right, thank you for your kind reply [;)]

I was also looking if there is 'must use tools' list (such as WitP Tracker) which could help build and planning long term strategy or help with micro management or industries.

I also found that link which is very helpful.

A wiki work in progress.

A HUGE deal is looking over those noob links followed by reading some AARs. That way, you get to read the theory and then see it in practice. Like you, I played WitP for a number of years and came into this game with at least a number of basics already covered. The differences do not appear to be truly vast but, I hadn't played WitP since '07. I just ended a game at 11/42 and decided to restart to see if I can tweak my terrible industry choices :)
