Bruno has scored a couple of knock downs the last couple of rounds (turns) and I think Ivan is taking a standing 8 count.

Well run campaign Ketza and this is a lot like how my thinking is going for a German campaign is at the moment with the strong drive on Leningrad and a lot of pressure in the south.

Man, you've got the backdoor to Leningrad wide freaking open. Send Totenkopf NW along with everything else that can get there. Heavens to betsy, I've never seen Leningrad fall that quickly.

You just need the hex under the AD of LENINGRAD to isolate it. Great googly moogly!

In a way it feels like one of my games - Leningrad fell on turn 7, the backdoor was wide open on turn 6. Turn 9 saw the Finns complete a big pocket north and east of Novgorod. To be honest, that wasn't the most fun to play.

AGN Turn 7 - Corridor widened and Tikvhin taken. 20+ divisions in the Leningrad pocket. Didnt do any attacking to keep units from routing out. Fuel situation still not good except for fuel flown in.

Finns trap 2 and 3 CV divisions along the border.

18th army will be the pocket crusher and is moving into place. Extra divisions tagged for Leningrad have been sent elsewhere.

6 Center - 6 units pocketed in 2 small pockets. It has been decided that Moscow will be a target. 9th army and 3rd panzer are the northern wing. 4th army and 2nd Pz are southern wing. All armies starting grinding forward into his checkerboard. Recon shows he is building a strong line between Moskva and Vyazma.

AGS 6 - Most of 1st Pz and 6th army crosses Dnepr at Kiev. One PZ corps is built up on the east side of the river. 17th army moves up and 11th army heads into the bend area. 2nd Army isolates Odessa and presses on towards Crimea.

6 losses - 1.3 million. 25-30 divisions currently pocketed. Not sure if the pace will get to 4 million. Next 2 turns will tell if a large pocket can develop on the east side of the Dnepr. He is doing a good job in the center keeping clear of pockets but will be giving up a lot of uncontested territory.

Maybe don't worry about pockets so much in the south there and just exploit out of that bridgehead. Blast away with 6th army and 1st panzer and make a huge breach into the Ukraine. You will unhinge all his forces north and south of it.

Pretty good progress for 7 turns, particularly around Leningrad and in AGS.

Turn 7 AGN final -

I am sure now he never intended to defend the Leningrad area except for light forces. He really has nothing in my way here except for some units that were frozen in place or whatever showed up locally.

AGC center 7 final - Slow grind forward. Eliminated 10 or so divisions in pockets. By passing his 3 CV divisions and making them surrender when possible. Panzers are low on fuel o no great leaps forward possible. Saving trucks for future HQ build ups.

AGS 7 final - Odessa falls and 2nd army drives east. 11th army the same. 1st Pz, 6th and 17th army are poised for trouble next few turns. Not enough guys had fuel for major ops this turn. Thats the downside of the rapid advance you always dream of, the lack of fuel. 2 Pz corps will be in the 40s next turn and there is potential for major pockets or to totally strip him clear of the river.

Moscow turn 7 - Here is where his main focus seems to be. Moscow recon shows huge forces in place and he is already at fort level 3 on his main line. This will be a huge fight in September/October.

Turn 7 units killed - 100+ divisions destroyed. Another 30 or so divisions in current pockets.

This last turn killed units were mainly by passed carpet defenders which resulted in a large haul of surrendered troops.

825 T-34s killed as well as 500+ KVs. After leningrad and current pockets are reduced Im hoping casualties reach 2 million mark. Half way to the goal! Larry s Air force has come out to play the last few turns and his air losses are mounting.

Turn 8 rail - top 3 railheads are moving right along. Pskov was converted this turn. Smolensk is slated to convert by turn 13. Gomel in 3-4 turns.

Turn 8 South after recon - Recon shows the move I have been setting up the last 2 turns has a good chance of being pulled off. I didnt want to be overly agressive coming out of the Kiev bridgehead turn 7 as I was hoping he would not move the T-34 factories in Kharkov. He didnt move them so the long pass down the field to capture to me what is one of the biggest prizes will be unleashed. He did move anything that may have been in Poltava.
