Tj you lucky thing! Genre defying excellence from Ridley Scott and James Cameron. You've heard of them right? :-)
Watch them when you get a chance, you will be pleased you did.

Sweet Savannah, has everyone heard about this movie?

Is this a horror movie? The Johnny Quest monsters give me the creeps... okay not really, but I am not much of a fan of horror movies, which is what this think looks like it came from...

It's probably the best horror movie that ever existed yes, at least the first one is. By todays standards it's not very gory, 1 scene is a little nasty but would be considered tame now. I imagine it's still scary for those who haven't watched before.

The sequel is an action movie with horror movie elements. The same difference as Terminator to Terminator 2 (not a coincidence James Cameron also). The second one, Aliens, has relatively few scares, it's more of a tense action film and could almost definitely be enjoyed without watching the horror movie original.

And to answer your question everyone my age (32) and above has seen these movies, not sure about younger :)

I've got The Thing on DVD and on bluray! I love it.

When you're watching Alien, TJ. Just imagine you're on a large freighter in the DW universe.[;)]

I love the way they did that Freighter! It's like huge x 10 and relitively believable...

Can I imagine that there is a Clone Trooper battalion to go with it? [;)]

I'd put 5 bars of Gold-Pressed Latinum on 10 Alien Zenomorphs against those Clone Troopers. [8D]

Yes, but 1 entire legion of storm troopers was wiped out by 1 small tribe of Ewoks.

I'm pretty sure the Ewoks ate the remains too. Definately more dangerous than a Xenomorph.

That picture makes my soul cry, Igard. That is, if I would believe in existence of soul.

Also, Xenomorphs are classic old-school. Here's something little more modern: Image

Your worst nightmare in Dead Space 2. Hate that thing! Hate it so much!
And, yes. I like Dead Space. First was great, seconds was excellent but reduced the horror elements too much if you ask me. Dead Space is the second scariest game I've played ever.
Scariest is the System Shock 2. That game still creeps me out and gives me nightmares. It's just disturbing sometimes. "A thousand eyes look." "We are, we are, we are, we are." *shivers*

Nope. Not because I don't want to, but because I played it a lot years ago when I borrowed it from one of my friends. I have SS1 CD somewhere, which I played through several times with one of my older comps, but haven't got it working with DOSBOX, even with guides from 'nets.
If GOG ever makes SS1&2 available, I'll be one damn happy hacker!
