Zoomed 2d Counters question

Post by Rybenuk »

Hi guys, anyone tell me why on this scenario some of the counters are blurry are others are fine using fully zoomed in mode in new patch?

Checked random other scenarios and all seem fine, just this one? Is it to do with the scenario itself or is it something at my end with counter files or something else entirely?

That is because the scenario (OperatiOn Varsity) uses scenario specific unit counters. You can find these in the scenario's directory in the Graphics folder. As the designer didn't provide huge unit counters the standard 2D counters from the scenario folder are scaled which leads to the pixelated graphics you see.

You could find out which unit counters got replaced and copy these from the normal graphics directory to the scenario directory under the according name.

Hi, thanks Telumar.

I thought as much that it was a scenario specific issue as no other scenario that i tried had the problem.

I`ve found the graphics folder for the scenario but strangely it looks like its picking some large 2d counters out of main graphics folder and not others as there are no large 2d graphics files at all in the scenario folder. Do i simply copy the corresponding "H" graphic files into scenario folder or do i need to rename etc?

Not a huge problem, was just curious to why it was.

See, this is the "problem": The game doesn't pick the large 2D graphics from the graphics folder. It scales those from the scenario folder.

You just have to look which unit graphics are in the scenario folder. Take the according png unit graphics including the according huge 2D graphics (H_units xy) from the normal graphics folder and copy them into the scenario folder.

The designer certainly had a reason to modify unit graphics - be it only chrome. I don't have the time and passion to look exactly which unit counters he had changed and why. Just try and see.
