Previews and Press event

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Previews and Press event

Post by Lord Zimoa »

We just returned from an International European press event in Varese, Italy, organised by Slitherine/Matrix to show a few of the upcoming games to the media.

We showed Panzer Corps and Commander: The Great War more in detail and in person to some specialized international wargaming journalists and game media.

Thanks to Slitherine and the attending journalists. Stay tuned for features, previews and new screenshots!

So we have trains now?

Can there be any clarification on how they work? Nice idea, but I hope it's not a huge supply system and the game stays easy "beer and pretzel" kind of playing like PG.

As I am sure you aware, whether for nostalgic reasons or whatever, there is a sizable number of the wargaming community eagerly awaiting the release of PC. My self included. I've read somewhere that this will be released in May. I really hope so.

I look forward to its release.

If this does indeed release next month will there be a disc based version available on day one? I like digital downloads, but some games such as this one I like owning the disc to go into my collection.

With the new Slith/Matrix Plimus digital shops, there is always an option to get printed boxed versions.

Don't really care about the box, just the cd/dvd(s) and a small jewel case to keep it in.

Fun Panzer Corps preview:

http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/De ... ntry103673

My highlights from the new article:

"and each unit will have unique sounds, giving players another way to tell them apart."

"A scenario editor will also be available, allowing players to create their own maps and units."

My own maps to battle on...thank you Lordz this will be very fun and take up a lot of my free time

I hope in the future after things are in order for the initial game we get some expansions....the desert war in North Africa comes to mind![8D]
