Plundering

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Plundering

Post by evwalt »

In several of my PBEM games, one major power has plundered another. I thought this was supposed to lower the NM of the victim. Is this correct or do you lose NM only if you plunder your own areas?

As one who does a little bit of plundering, I have not ever noticed any negative affects to my side-certainly no drop in national moral. I was warned once or twice about that possibility of negative moral hits, but I've never seen it-more accurately, it did not happen-on the national level. If it happens at the unit level, the change must be very small.

It seems like I have seen a -15 NM hit for plundering, but that might be if it is done in your own territory.

I recall reading or hearing about that-I have never actually tried plundering in my own territory-an act of desperation- that would be.

I think the only time I saw it was someone who was plundering enemy territory and accidently moved into his own lands.
