Western Australia
10th Cav Recce Rgt
25th MG Bn
Western Australia

Western command consisted of
10th Light Horse Rgt)
25th MG Bn
13th Brigade (11th battalion, 28th Battalion and 16th Battalion)
44th Battalion

the 10th LH was essentially independent of any larger Cav formations and the rest is Infantry.

Thanks for all the input.  The original approach explained by Andy Mac is sound and I have no objections. Nevertheless I will go ahead with my brigades in my personal mod, since I am aiming at more "small unit actions" in the PNG area (more bases to cover in my mod). 3rd Cavalry Bde did exist, it was part of 2nd Cav Div in 1939. The Cav units changed designation to "Motor" and the sources I have found say this happened in early 1942. But I think the designation is a minor point, it is not really important that some units start the Scenario as Cav and other as Motor as long as the units as such are correctly represented.

I think you should do that. I had much fun building a brigade oob for jwe for the Dei scenario and we had a lot of fun playing some of the month by month operations. I think this is the best way to play this game by doing it on a detail by operation level.

I would like to see what you get for the australians. I will trade all I have for the Dutch.
