A number of guy have experienced MDP allies invading their colonies and carrying out attacks.

I have two saves

One where the attack was spotted and the Kiadian destroyer hovered over the planet but did nothing then moved away.

The next save was at the instant they invaded a colony of mine. This MDP has been in place for years.

I have uploaded the saves to the server it's called MDP Ally attacks colony ROTS 1.05.08 2844-05-15.

I do not have an autosave shortly before as I turned it off to carryout ship designs.

I will use the editor to place the colony back in my empire as a workaround.

As I'm usually in MDP with almost everybody I have seen this behavior. I was not sure if it was a bug or a feature.
The MDP allies are also not defending you in case of war and if you directly ask them (at zero cost) they often immediately after bail out.
On the other side they are quite cool if you do the same, no relation hits.

For the moment I'm just roleplaying this behavior but it is strange.

My MDP 'ally' Boskara (I'm Sluken) is attacking my freighters etc near his territory - even attacked a space port. My empire is 'annoyed' at the Boskara while they are 'delighted' with me. This cannot be excused as a 'feature' of the Boskara being mildly psychotic because it would make no sense for them to agree to a MDP treaty with me in the first place, giving me vision of their entire empire, if they mean to fight me.

Elliott, if you're reading this - you need to not only fix this bug but also make the MDP treaty a bit more 'serious'. There should be major ramifications to both relations and empire reputation if you don't help your MDP allies in battle. Furthermore, attacking somebody you have/recently had an MDP with should cause all other empires to lose faith in you and not want to work with you again. Look to Armada 2526 for ideas - treaties are not something to be taken lightly there.

Wow, attacking freighters and mining stations is one thing but this is even more serious, invading a colony while having a MDP.
