I was extremely reticent to buy this game. I installed the 1st of the original games, Danger Forward, which I seemed to remember had some ctd's. I was not impressed, but bought the compilation. So here's how wrong I can be:

1. The guy who posted that the screen shots don't do justice to the actual game graphics is correct.

2. The 108-page manual is very well done. The previous manuals was probably a reason I never got into Danger Forward. (There's a lot of good stuff going on under the hood, but it helps if you understand it.)

3. You'll probably never create a battle with 15 nationalities, but this option is nice to color-code types and capabilities of the same army; i.e., five different colored German units to represent SS, Veteran, Volkssturm, etc. There's also a lot you can do with the editor.

The upcoming Panzer Corps looks very pretty, but I hope the depth is there, or I'll be playing this one instead.
