Birthday Gift?

Based on Slitherine’s popular tabletop wargaming system by the same name, Field of Glory now comes to the PC in a faithful adaptation of this acclaimed miniatures wargame! Without the calculations and measurements required for a tabletop game of Field of Glory, the PC version accurately represents Ancient and Medieval combat where you make the important and fun decisions on the battlefield. This forum also supports the Rise of Rome, Storm of Arrows and Immortal Fire expansions to Field of Glory.

Post by Doant1946 »

For me..65 tomorrow..looking for something immersive so i wondered about Field Of Glory..Not really a pro at war games but want something immersive and not to difficult to learn without a real manual..I don't mind reading but not pdf manuals..so Field Of Glory or anything else that will run on my old pc,,,nvidia6200 pci only and Pentium 4 2.66 ghz...

Any recommends for a aging non pro gamer welcome[:'(]

I would recommend you start with Battlefield Academy.

I wouldn't take his word on it. It all depends on which subject matter appeals to you more. I don't have either of the games but am considering FoG over BC because the subject matter appeals to me more than "another" WWII game. I read FoG has iffy AI so not sure if I want it now anyway because I am not interested in MP to fix bad AI.
