ORIGINAL: gids

You have to Copy the file when extracted/ cit it paste it into the game folder, you get that message if you open it afterunzipping
after copy:paste stuff you get the message" move and replace old file"then push yes
thats how i did it and works fine
apologies for my complete uselessness at computers but please can someone explain exactly what I need to do assuming no knowledge on my part whatsoever

thanks

You have to click on the attachment in the first post, and download it. In my case when I click on it it downloads the file and opens the zip folder which contains the .exe file. I then tell the software to unzip it in my games exe directory (the standard directory is Matrix Games/Gary Grigsby's War in the East). This replaces the 1.04.10 exe file with the 1.04.11 file.

The main thing is to download the attached zip file and then unzip the zip file into the directory that contains the game's WarInTheEast.exe file.

All understanding comes after the fact.
