air force questions

I noticed that the air units do not use oil, only supplies, do they then fly using used fry oil for fuel, or is this a bug?

Where are the strategic bombers noted in the manual, but not in the research fields?[&:]

i think you might be playing a classic scenario (or other type) instead of a new AT Gold rules (generic.at2 based) one.

The game we are playing is random mirrorish, with resource hexes, and other units expected such as Kamikaze and heavy artillery.

BTW what is the significance of the orange plane icons and the usual white dots for air recon?

I believe that is the intercept range.

Doesn't make sense, but when I checked the fighter fuel, oil was used this time, and the Strategic bombers were available for research - will keep checking to see if this happens again.
