We're up to about turn 6. Thanks to all of you (I've only read posts through turn 3) who gave advice. The most unusual part of this game is that PZ Gp 1 was moved South and attacked Northeast. It did indeed look like a disaster, but I was trying something new. 6th and 17th Armies are attacking due East towards Kiev. In the North all the other Pz Groups are attacking in parallel towards Moscow and have, for now, bypassed Leningrad. I did take Novogorad, which is an important part of the Northern defenses.

With the posts I read, I was able to duplicate the manuvers described (Riga and linking up with Rumanian on turn 1). Thanks.

In the last game Larry and I played all the way to the end of 1942. This will be an interesting comparison and a test of 1.04. In the earlier game I took Moscow but wore my Pz divisions out completely.

I also note that Larry's other opponents always do better in the AAR than I do. Well, I think my career as a professional gamer isn't going to happen. But having much fun.

I love it when KLilly posts in the AAR.  His comments are always cogent and on-target.  I'm just guessing here but I think maybe KLilly and I are fairly evenly matched.  No offense intended, just a thought off the top of my head KLilly dude.  I'm also playing Aoline as the Soviet player but I notice that he's not doing as good as KLilly and I thought maybe I shouldn't rub it in by doing an AAR of the game.  Besides I haven't asked he if I could yet and we're already up to turn 7 in that game as well. 

KLilly can get a rough idea what the Soviet levels are just by looking at the other game AAR's.  Well, except the Pelton game.....it's a complete runaway there.  Pelton is doing multiple HQ buildup's and has, according to his own words, reached his goals and is starting to do his pre-winter setup's to prepair for whatever comes in the Blizzard turns.  As if the Soviets have any hope of doing some kind of offensive after what has happened there. 

In this game ( with KLilly ) I can almost imagine going on the offensive unless he surprises me with some magnificent move that destroys or isloates most of my troops.  And he can do that still.
