Is it still possible to edit a game underway?

Post by ColinWright »

It USED to be possible to load a game into the editor, change things, and then resume play.

Can that still be done, and if so, how? I know it was blocked for PBEM games -- but that's not my concern. Is it still possible to do with hot-seat games?

The applications for developing and debugging scenarios are fairly obvious -- particularly if one is working on a monster. I'm looking at a event sequence that will occur around turn 60. Obviously, if it doesn't work properly, I'd like to fix it and then go on rather than starting over and getting to that point before seeing/constructing a test scenario for the event sequence in question.

This is still possible. Don't know the old routine, but renaming a sal into sce, loading it into the editor and saving as a sce will work.
