How about WitP Lite?

Post by TIMJOT »

This may be sacreligious to this forum, but since WitP is at *least* a year away. It occured to me while playing UV that it would be a lot of fun to play UV on a much larger map. How about slapping the UV engine (as is) on the WitP map, flesh out the OOB a bit and presto you got a nice little prelude game to the full on WitP. A operational WitP if you will. Sure you wouldnt have production or resources and a lot of the other features we want in WitP, but it would go along way to wet our appetitite while we wait. It would probalby have to be PBEM only and consist of one generic 41-43 campaign, but it probably be put out in a few months.

The only bad thing that it would most likely take resources away from WitP, which would ge very, very, very bad :( , but the anticipation is just killing me and I cant stand waiting any longer. I need a fix.

I'm salivating as much as you are, but I don't think they could do this. And I don't want WitP to be delayed a single hour.

Although I would love to see a bigger UV, I think I would rather have the dev team working full time on WitP rather than try to come up with something to fill the gap.

Plenty of people to try to beat in UV before WitP hits.

Just my 2 cents...
