Leaders

Post by dbmsts »

I'm trying to mod the full campaign (First one) and I have a problem with finding the right type of leaders to change their stats, for example, I want to change the stats of all allied taskforce leaders and I can't do it because they're mixed up with the rest. Also I don't know all of their names. Is there a way to get a sorted list of Leaders according to the type(what they'll be commanding)?

Use witploadae to put the scen files into csv form and use Excel to look at WiTPLdrxxx.csv. Hit the AutoFilter switch and simply select which "Command Type" number you want to review (column N, I believe).

JWE, Thanks for the information. I used witploadae to convert my scenario into csv files and edited the leaders file with excel. But when I tried to import the scenario using "WITPLOADAE.exe /i /s026" it gave me the following message, "Directory "C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\scen" not accessible". When I looked at the folder properties it showed that is was read only. Actually my WITPAE is installed in E: drive and all the folders in it have the read only attribute, but I tried removing the read only attribute and it would not give any errors or messages and it would apply the changes to the subfolders as well or atleast it seemed to do so. But when I would check the folder properties again the read-only attribute would still be there. This is happening all over E: drive and I don't know how to import the scenario back.

Just for your information, I'm running windows XP and the E: drive is FAT32.

Problem solved: The game was installed in E: drive while the WITPLOADAE program was trying to import the files to a non-existent matrix games\War in the pacific admiral's edition\SCEN folder in C: drive. So I had to create empty folders with this path in C drive and it worked.

Yep.  A very old tool adapted to AE.  But, it still works great.
