reinstallation and pbem games

hi,
i have to reinstall my os+ spwaw in a running pbem- match. will spwaw accept the email- files after the reinstallation?

if you re-install SPWAW after re-formatting your system's OS you shouldn't have any issues with the Pbem files.
All you have to do is unzip the last turns files back in your SPWAW email folder and you'll be good to go. :)

Even if you had to, you probably wouldn't have to reinstall SPWAW either. Remember it's an old DOS game actually: It's tough.

Just remember that in order for old PBEMS or any previous save to work properly make sure the SPWAW setup is as it was during these games. Meaning make sure the version #'s are the same, any specific applied patches (if your playing Mega or altered sceanrio/campaigns), were you using original OOB's or updated 7.1x's etc. These factors would all have to match for an old PBEM/save to funtion correctly.

BTW,

I am having a recurrent pbem problem (cannot save in solo mode after a turn played in pbem game) on windows XP.

The only way to avoid it that we found is to rename the Email folder.

Dunno if it is related to yours....
