Hi all,
here is a preview of a Europe scenario I am working on - basically a random game redesigned on a map of Europe with 8 semi-historical regimes. Nothing fancy like custom events or game cards, just a large sized game. I look forward to sharing this and seeing what other more talented designers can do with my map. More info to follow. cheers,

That's my intent. I've learned how to draw maps and create custom SFTypes, but haven't been as quick to learn event code and cards.
I will share two versions for everyone:
* the basic map w/ cities and virtually no regimes,
* the same map with 7-8 regimes, a few custom SFTypes, and one or two alliances.
Now it's off to read the tutorial on packaging zip files.....
As a follow up to your suggestion -
1) will it be a problem that I have created my own LOCtypes? I have used all graphics from ATGold files, but have created more varieties of cities, similar to classic AT (Village, Town, City, Capitol, Major Capitol)
2) I have also created some unique and custom SFTypes, some using standard graphics, some using custom graphics. Should I follow the steps described in the tutorial about creating a seperate sub-directory, or will the package button automatically take care of this? (I realize I have not placed my graphics in their own directory, I've placed them in the folders with the default graphics... after reading the tutorial I am assuming this is bad?)
thanks,
World War 2 era for my Armageddon scenario. (but "semi" historical). Somewhere I recall a version of HOI that had a scenario with pseudo-historical factions on a real map of Europe - had some fun with that scenario, but was never a big fan of the game engine. They had Prussia vs. Bourbon Dynasty vs. Romanov Russia vs. various other inter-war regimes... This is a re-imagined tribute to that premise. I've tossed in some custom SFTypes for fun: Panzer I's, T-34's, German 88's, and a few other "gamey" units on the map. If you're into authentic orders of battle and realism, this is NOT going to be to your liking. If you want to have fun marching around a bigger map of Europe with realistic oil and ore resources, you may appreciate this scenario.
I will also provide a "basic map of Europe" scenario with only 2 regimes - I believe you have to have at least 2 regimes or the editor will not let you save a scenario. This version will have all the standard subformations that come with the SCGold random game. The modder can plug in as many regimes as they want, change subformations, add cards/events, whatever they want. It's just a nice large (but not huge) map of Europe for other scenario designers to work with.
Honestly, I've really just been having fun playing with the editor, and after about 60 hours of messing about, thought I came up with a pretty decent map I could share with others.
cheers,
