i find this difficult to believe, look how close the planets are to each other, and look how a lot of the planets make lines. i bet he just spammed continental planets all over the system with the editor.

and you wouldn't crash with that many planets at one system using the editor, i have done it before. it would just be really slow, but that's more than enough for a screenshot.

Then why would he go to the trouble of making a tech support thread and downloading File Zilla and uploading a bug report?

Sounds like alot of hassle if he was just winding us all up.

Quite an accusation there Sir...

Hmm, this kind of system would be perfect for a LONG war for a single system, the kind of was I love in games[8|]. Every piece of rock counts[:D]. Reminds me of the quintuple star systems from Elite First Encounters, those had HUUUUUUUUUUUGE distances involved, and like 20-40 planets and moons at least. Too bad you can't have twin or triple star systems in DW, would rockzors.

Cheers

Which begs the question, how close can you place stars using the editor? [:D]

Not close enough, I guess there's a limit, I tried placing one next to each other or at least in the same system and it didn't work[:(]

Why, because it has never happened to you? You've never experienced it before so therefore I must be lying or posting crap for the sake of it? Because I think a game's only developer should waste his time on something I made up rather than improve a game I like?

I've lurked for ages but saw something odd and asked others if they had seen it before. Some were quite helpful in pointing me in the direction of what they experienced and what to do to report it (and thank you for that) but having my sincerity and integrity attacked really makes me wish I hadn't said a thing.

Wow in my current game there is a system with 8 planets/moons that are inhabited. And I thought that was a lot.  To me it seems like a rare statistical anomaly, or some sort of a bug.

Isn't this kind of thing bound to happen after you've researched the Infinite Improbability Drive ? I'm just surprised there aren't more penguins in the system (or a whale)

Reproduced the error in a new game.  What I did was rolled a game (100 planets, even clusters) like 5 or so times without letting the game run any time at all.  I changed the settings to 250 planets and rerolled a few more times.  Then I changed to irregular and rolled a couple and went back to 100 planets and even clusters and got this monster system (for the lousy Mortalens).

211 continental planets and no moons at all.  Mr. Data will like that I know!

Reproduceable? Awesome! (I can imagine a few people on this forum are gonna be "rollin', rollin', rollin'.....")

Hit it a second time? That's beyond improbable, there has to be something particular to your setup...me wants it. [:)]
