So when will the beta turn into an official patch? Is there a rough date for that or..?

When it's done.

Or you could do as Tens of Thousands of Happy AE Players (tm) have already done and convert to the latest beta now. It works great, massively improves the game, and is no doubt about what the official patch will be, just with a different label.

How often are you having to download new beta's? With all the ongoing changes michaelm is making, will the process of having to update the latest/greatest beta patch ever stop? [:D]

I'm doing about every other one, except where michael warns not to apply to an on-going game, like this time. Updating takes less than five minutes, including the d/l and re-setting the switches.

I realize he warns to not patch on-going games; however, how reliable have you found it to be in a new install?

If I did go this route, would it be as follows:
Step 1) Clean install of WitPAE
Step 2) WarinthePacificAdmiralsEdition-UpdateComp-v1106i.exe
Step 3) AEupdate1108m3.exe

Editted Side Note:
On the Matrix Club Members site it has the following which looks to need an update. Who should this update request go to?

Download Admiral's Edition v1.01.06g Public Beta
Version v.1.106gBeta (15 JUL 2010)
EXE Download WarinthePacificAdmiralsEdition-UpdateComp-v1106g-PublicBeta.exe (99.02 mb)
Description This is a public BETA update. Please see the readme included in the update installer for important news and change notes. Please also see the public beta guidelines posted in the WITP AE forum to understand how to report any issues you may find.

every part [:D] just go without the archs, has been working perfectly for me for three years in my PBEM when I´ve realized the archs just can´t work, no matter what ppl said. As soon as you throw the archs overboard your patrols start to sight the enemy just as it was in WITP. Like previous posters said, the archs work in the betas.

They work just fine in Beta. But as been said, Search Arcs are just extra "bonus" and often you don't even have a reason to set them, since in many times, their utility is limited (either because of small number of a/c or being in place where it is beneficial to search 360).
