I got to pg14 in the tutorial.

Advancing my tanks got me wandering how are hull down situations handled?

* Do they figure into the calculations?

* How do you identify good locations? I depend on gridded terrain when playing CM.

* Can you get your armor to find hull down locations without micro-managing?

---

I'll pick this up tomorrow. Thanks.

Yes, lower hull locations are protected from harm. Hits on tank will say 'ground deflection".

When your hull can't be seen from a possible enemy position. Some maps have grid. some don't. Press K key to find how to turn on grid.

No. Sometimes you think that you have a good position but the grass is so high that the position doesn't have a good view. The only sure places you can park a tank and be sure it is hull down to all its surroundings is in a dug-in gun pit or tank trench.

Getting started with the Boot Camp now.

Is the Terrain Map Mode still revealing where the enemy is hiding? I remember a couple of years ago, I was trying to find good cover (light versus heavy woods). I see red areas, that look like to me places where the enemy is situated. Is this still the case?

Thanks.

The terrain map does not reveal enemy locations. Red on the terrain map indicates impassable terrain, which is usually seen around the border of buildings.

Good luck in the Boot Camp!

When you get settled in RR, go to Lotaburger and be sure to order green chili on your burger.
