Remarkable advance across the board. Daring attack into Leningrad. Too bad you could not grab the port to the west as well to help collapse the pocket between Leningrad and Narva, but still. That port is heavily fortified anyway. The infantry should be able to follow up and he won't be able to mount a credible defense.

He is going to take a bath industry wise. You are close to D and Z town and all the other cities in the bend that may not have gotten industry out.

The panzers in 11th army got transferred from one of the batch that came down to the Rumanian border on turn 1 by chance?

3rd Pz corp went to 11th army turn 2. Very helpful flipping hexes for the infantry to rapid advance.

Turn 7 Finland - Mannie continued his resistance along the border even with the Leningrad suburbs overrun. His line collapsed along the coast and the Finns went racing to Leningrad to try and cut all the rail lines and pin his defenders. They did overrun some airfields along the way. One Soviet division surrendered in a pocket.

Interesting strategy on his part but I dont know if I would do it myself as a Soviet.

Turn 7 Leningrad - I was not sure what to expect upon opening the turn here. He heavily reinforced the area and launched a succesful counter. He also took one hex of Leningrad burbs back that was unoccupied. I took more territory and brought the infantry to bear. Novogrod fell. I also located some I-L4 bases that I think he was preparing to attack my airfields with and bombed them causing a lot of airframe destruction.

AGS 7 - Checkerboards with strong units abound. At least I am across the river with infantry and the Panzers overrun some airfields and break a few important rails. He has moved most of the factories from D-town. At this juncture its going to be difficult to kill any more factories.

7 losses - Manny has a done a good job of staying out of pocket trouble so losses are on the low side.

7 air losses - This turn saw some damage done to his air force. 30% of the killed airframes were airfield overruns. A lot of I-L4s were also killed.

Overall I am sorta "meh" about my progress. Its not bad but its not great. I do not think I am causing enough casualties and need to think outside of my usual play style to change that.
