some question about PCO

Post by popllt »

1. How can I know the vehicle is hull down? While being hull down, does it means smaller probability hit?
2. Does the height take account into while compute the LOS? For example, the vehicle can see farther than infantry as higher, and the infantry mount on the vehicle can see farther than the one on the ground?

Thanks!

There's no direct way to be sure. Getting down to ground level may show that there is a chance. The lower part of the tank or AT gun even is protected from being hit. You will see on the event text box. "ground deflected" from a hit that goes into the dirt and not the tank. It usually takes about 1/2 the unit to be behind some kind of ground contour or excavation to get hulldown.

Yes. The sighting is from about 1m above the unbuttoned TC midpoint. Or if buttoned from the gun height, I think. And Yes, infantry mounted on the tanks or in halftracks can see further than infantry on the ground. Sometimes there's not that much difference.
