RE: Decisive Battles

On 23 jan43 the IJN was also reported to have lost the Takao near Lil' Andaman after an abortive night bombardment.  I heard an explosion that sounded like a mine in the replay but have not found any recorded report. I suspect the combination of PT boat TF, 1200 mines and about 10 subs all in the same hex are having an effect on the IJN.

Sub attack near Little Andaman at 45,60

Japanese Ships
CA Takao, Torpedo hits 2

Allied Ships
SS S-38

SS S-38 launches 4 torpedoes at CA Takao
S-38 diving deep ....
Sub escapes detection

31 jan43:  Japs are pulling the army NW of Changsha  which was advancing to Chikchang and redeploying SW to Kweiling to relieve the supply problem to the death star, along w/ other available units. I would bet the jap garrison requirements are now non existant.

Forgot to reset my aussie beaufighter after a sweep over Roti last turn.  so it swept again this turn at 100 ft also.  I figured it would get shot up. I bet the m5 set to max altitude did not allow any closing time because of my 100 ft sweep.

2-1-43: IJN Surface TF spotted moving toward Cocos Island.  I would bet this is the 1st combat excursion of those new jap battlecruisers present in RA70 senario.

looks like the jap army in china is withering on the vine!!!  look at the div strenghts...down30%[X(] Stalled to the south, stalled at Kunming...I sense my most honorable opponent FatR can command the sea, but has allowed the chinese to trap the IJA china army out of supply north of Kweiling..

You're mistaking your designations, Bigred. CA is a heavy cruiser and xAP is a troop transport. I'll leave to you the easy task of figuring out, which mission by that force your aviation from Little Andaman had failed to stop.
