Hi all,

ORIGINAL: Terminus

Hey Dixie, I decided against Silent War and have gone with Steel Wolves instead. U-Boote vorwärts!

Traitor! [:D] Although I have to admit that the Battle of the Atlantic usually interests me far more than the Pacific submarine war.

I thought about getting Steel Wolves as well, right up until I saw the price! [:D] Instead I got the IJN expansion for Silent War, lots of extra counter and stuff with every IJN warship and a decent chunk of their auxiliaries as well.

Is there a Vassal module out for Steel Wolves one yet? Let us know how you get on with it.

Are there computer versions of those games or only "old fashion way"?

No computer versions other than Vassal and Cyberboard modules. They're solitaire games anyway...

I didn't buy it from Compass Games, but from NWS. $118, inclusive of shipping.

And yes, there is a Vassal module out.
I downloaded the game from the Compass games website some time back plus Vassal components. So you not have sheel out the bucks. Haven't loaded it yet. Give that a try.

Aye, what T said.

The Vassal and Cyberboard modules need the original game to play them but they make things a LOT easier. No need to sort through hundreds of little pieces of card for a start [:D] It also stops various weapons of mass destruction from running amok across the world.

You'll find that you're missing a couple of essential components.

BC still confused by the little 'un?

Not so much confused as annoyed. She's not had much experience of small children before Josh turned up, so it was a big shock to her. It didn't help that we lost our other BC three weeks before Josh was born so she had some big changes to deal with.
She's getting used to being around him, but tends to avoid him as much as possible, which is a shame as he seems to love her a lot. He managed to climb onto the sofa next to her yesterday and he was so happy at being able to stroke her without her running away from him.

Tithe.....Here's one Simon will like.

Big emergency yesterday in a conference room with a half dozen very smart scientists. The laptop is not working and the presentation slides cannot begin. CALL IN.... DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA........I.T. MAN (you all thought it would be "The Tick!")

With my years of IT experience and knowledge I set my brain to the task at hand after looking over the situation while two scientists watched anxiously.........and plugged the laptop back in to it's power supply. TA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

This should get me promoted.
