Geforce 3 latest driver issues...

Post by Reiryc »

I've upgraded my driver to the latest version, 41.09 for the geforce 3 nvidia set and it is causing problems with UV.

It slows the scroll rate down quite a bit and the longer one plays, the worse it gets. It can take up to 30 seconds or longer to just scroll from lunga to truk.

I upgraded video drivers because I needed to for a newer game...any chance something can be fixed on your end?

My specs:

Win 98SE
P4 1.7
768 meg ram
Asus GeForce 3 64 meg video using 41.09 driver
8.1 directx
4+ gigs free on hard drive

I run them too, I don´t have any problems at all with UV and the latest detonator pack.

Well, it might not be a problem with the detonator pack itself. It also maybe that something else is interferring now with the new drivers. Who knows.

Can you attach your DxDialog file here, or sent it too me via email?

I am hearing around the traps that the latest nvidia drivers are also cauing problems with IL2. Some are going back to the previous drivers.

I'm one of those that returned to whatever 30.x version I had prior to the 40.x drivers.

After I installed them almost every game I played acted like vsync was permanently disabled, including UV.
Since it is impossible to play real time games when your screen splits into pieces every 10-20 seconds I immediately replaced them.

Could not find an option in the DX config to force vsync on either, though I thought one did exist at some point (or maybe it was OpenGL?).

I'm running a GeForce2 MX, P3-866, Win2k Pro.

That´s OpenGL settings of the driver ;) and it´s on "on" by default.

Guys, just spend the 120.00 and buy a new Radeon card. This will solve all your problems. Treat yourself.

Hahaha, I just spent 20 mins trying to help someone with the latest fastest most amazing [whatever] Radeon card play a MMORPG where his screen was totally messed up.
However my not-very-fast GeForce2 MX was running along quite happily, not a problem.

So you want me to shell out $120 (US?) I don't have for a card that is going to break at least one major game I'm playing? :D

I had the same problem with UV and the 41.09 drivers. I finally went back to the 30.82 's to solve the problem.
