Why no demo?

Post by Birdmon »

Must admit Ive saved $$ from the inability of Matrix releasing demos. I just don't understand the business model of a company that produces war games will not make a demo of the "Gold" product. I refuse to buy games without trying the demo first, no need to explain why - you all know the status of games today.

Please, if a game is so complicated a demo cant do it justice - then dumb down the demo so we can get a taste of it.

OK /rant off. [:-]

As an ATG owner, I would recommend that Matrix put out a demo. I came very close to taking a pass on the game, and I too was miffed that a $40.00 game didn't have a demo.

ATG is a great game! I bet a demo would substantially increase your sales.

I was annoyed there was no demo, but after playing People's Tactics I bought it. Its basically an improved version of that, similar in many ways to Total Operational Art of War. What I really like about this game is that it generates randomized 1v1 maps, which would be particularly nice if I had opponents to play.
