Manual Printing

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Manual Printing

Post by lujab2004 »

Hi guys. I just bought this, my first wargame ever. Needless to say I am lost. I found a great tutorial in the war room that I am starting on shortly. I was wondering if it is legal to print the manuals that come with WiTE. I was hoping a place like Officemax would do it for a reasonable price. Any Suggestions?

Yes it is legal to print out the manual as long as you own the game. OfficeMax or FedEx Office are good places to start. For a while at least, Matrix had the manual printing option as a service.

If you are interested I have a printed copy of the manual, black and white, bound that I would be happy to send you for the cost of shipping. I accidentally got a second copy printed and it is just sitting around. Send me an E-mail if your interested.

Reading the manual is a must, but note that many things have changed in various patches, and other things weren't documented at all, so don't treat it as gospel.

346 pages right now. I would wait to print it though, and see if the rewrite is going to occur will all the changes. You can find the manual in the WitE directory, it is a PDF file. I have it on my Kindle and keep it open when I play. I am tempted to make charts of city industry, etc. once this patch goes live.

Yes, there is work underway to provide an updated manual with rule changes and new features incorporated into them. The first will be out next week, but it won't have all the new rules incorporated in yet. But we do eventually hope to catch up and provide a living document. It's a US Letter sized PDF file.
