RE: THE THREAD!!!
Well, all successful art critics must use 'vis-a-vis' at least once in any full review, don't they?

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Hmmm ... why did I get "Helmut"-vibes from the "Linda"-postings in the Opp wanted thread?
Anyway, not my problem. Tithe.

It could be that my cynic and suspicious dark side conspires vis-a-vis what could be a perfectly normal request. [:'(]

Good afternoon. Windy in Kansas. How is the rest of the world today?

It it looks like a dog, smells like a dog, and barks like a dog, it is probably a dog..... I have the same feeling on this one, but I will keep my mouth shut. I have been wrong before.

It's a socio-dynamic look at Man's inhumanity to Man which makes a comment on the fight or flight reaction. The painting of the tank in a desert scheme also makes a critical remark on US policy in the Middle East since 1945, whilst using a British Centurion tank also remarks on Britain's role in that region...
See, being an art critic isn't hard [:D]
Actually, if that Centurion is an ex-IDF machine (as I suspect), the piece is a scathing indictment of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.
Ah yes, I agree with my erstwhile companion on this facet of the piece. The usage of an ex-IDF tank does create a powerful image in regards to Israel vis-a-vis the Palestinian territories and people and the implied support for such policies that is received from the Western nations through the supplies of military hardware.
We can also see that the runner is wearing a blue outfit and is white. Need I remind you all that the colours of the Israeli flag are blue and white? Also the red stripe of his trainers represents the blood of victims.
You can claim anything is art these days [8|] When I were a lad you had to have some sort of actual talent [:D]
Sorry threadsters, but you are all wrong. This piece of art is:
A searing indictment of domestic servitude in the eighteenth century
I would have thought that was patently obvious, now all we need are some hot gypsies thrown in [:D][;)]

Sorry Robert, but no one in here will take you seriously as an art critic unless you work in some "vis-a-vis" into your comments. [:'(]ORIGINAL: warspite1
