Nice collection.

My addiction started with Afrika Karps in 1969. Many AH titles followed in rapid succssion, with SPI, Battleline and Yaquinto also gaining many of my dollars back then. I haven't had a F-t-F opponent in over a decade, but WITP/AE has filled that void quite well.

Africa... "Karps"?[:'(]

Have I mentioned that I have a short-circuit between the brain and fingers? Since computers came out I usually catch those typos, but not always...
Rats! i was hoping it was the one about the giant fish from the Congo or something...

EDIT - beaten out by 15 seconds...

I just didn't know if you were talking about fish...[:'(]

At least "karps" resembles a real word... I'm not so sure about "pargins" (in a later post [8|] )

Off to France tomorrow morning for a tactics/operations exercise with history as background. Will be off-THREAD until next Saturday.

Be well, and good night friends [>:]
Would like to borrow my AH 'France 1940'?[;)]

Ah - one of my greatest triumphs was with this game - pretty much crushing the German army with the French... i would have completely annihilated one half of the German Army except my opponents convinced me that the move that would have encircled the German Army was illegal... i found out the next day it WAS legal.

Yeah, but it was a "gamey" move. After all, everybody knows that the French in 1940 were incapable of moving forward!

(sorry, Eric, just a bad joke)

And again LMOA[:D]

Reminds me of a tongue in cheek joke.

Why do the French plant trees along thier streets and boulevards?

The French were definately capable of moving forward. They , like the BEF , were doing just that, when they were "Taken in the rear!"[X(][X(][X(]

Grollub, we should play The Longest Day with Vassal sometime. [8D] I've tried to get USS over here to do it. [8|]

Back from another bike ride around Flagstaff. If you are in this area, do not forget to visit Riordan Mansion, nice 70 min tour of a turn of the century mansion by one of the main families in the History of Flagstaff. [:)][8D]

Didn't see '1776' in the lot.

Looks about the same amount I have in the library plus many SPI bookcase and those $7.00 cheepo packaged SPI's. Great stuff.[blockquote]quote:

Ok, so we got the vet report back on Beaudy. He's not quite the mess we originally thought, but he's still a bit of a mess. Back left leg is atrophied, and has a cartilage pop on flexion. Not unexpected, and he's still pretty happy about his butt. Vet can fix that, and make him comfy.

Sent his bladder stones off to U. of Minnesota for assay. Results, folded in to his blood work, will tell the whole tale, and say what we should keep our eyes peeled for. Once we get those results back, it's diet definition time; the Hills vets are intensely interested in what's up with Beaudy. They want him as a poster child for dietary mediation. I like them. They are worried about the dog, not their CVs or what they can hustle.

Anyhoo, Beaudy has the absolute best of care (from our vet, Ann Rankin) and some serious corporate sponsorship, so my little pup ought to get righteous pretty darn quick. Will report, if ya'll care.

Ciao. John
