The enemy is limping away, their air arm depleted. We own the seas, and in two days our CV's come out of refit with two new BB's, including the pride of the Navy, the Yamato!

The enemy advance on Broome, but turn around. a CL TF hits Derby several times, then they begin to withdraw soon after we change 2 TK regt and an Inf Regt to Derby... maybe SIGINT gave us away?
We still plan to counter attack here... but no point at the moment.
Darwin continues to be bombed on a daily basis keeping it 100% damaged. No more supply ships have been detected for several weeks, supply must be low.
Off Perth our subs are being harassed.
Off Melbourne we hit some large xAK's, probably sinking them, and several ASW TF are hunting us, we get one AM in return.
03-07 Jun 1942 Pacific
P-38 appear over PM and slaughter first around 12 Rufe, then around 10 Zero. We can't generate enough aircraft at the moment. They look to be flying from Cooktown, time for the CA's to do some work.
A large reinforcement convoy is heading into PM to unload infantry and engineers, it is escourted by Mini KB. The forts are now 1.5.
On the way home KB detects some raiders around Marcus island, bad weather and good luck means we haven't caught them... yet!
More fuel, troops and supplies are landing at Rabaul, troops are moving out from their to the defensive locations.

We are chasing the raiding force with KB, we detect them in searches but KB aircraft fail to launch due to weather on range. However we have a slight positional advantage, they have to flee towards Japan as we are a few hex SE of them.

We survived this... our luck will start changing in this area, we have had several TK hit, but when empty (as these were too) and so have made port and are repairing:
Burma
Over Akyab only light opposition, next turn a BB TF will Hit Cox's Bazaar instead of trashing Akyab more. Our bombers (3 Daitai Helen) are hitting Akyab nicely at the moment so should be able to keep fully damaged.
Our CV's are near Sabang, a time and space calulation indicates we should be in a position to intercept turn after next. 40 Kate are flown onto Rjuyo (which fills here up) and Zero are flown onto the CVE. In total the CV TF has 36 Zero (2 x 18), 27 Val (15 and 12) 46 Kate (40 and 6), all with goo tovery good experiance. I doubt they have filled up their squadrons, but they probably have LR CAP support.
G3M3 Nell (the long range ones) are now operating over Ceylon. Next time we wouldn't increase Betty production, but build more Nell instead.

They raiders are again just out of range. Netties launch but don't find the target... but they have come right up against the Northern Islands, so some Nells (Bombs only) are bought in... maybe we can damage and slow them down?
Here is the CV situation near Ceylon. We are 1 hex "offmap" to the south, so should intercept nicely... almost like it was planned Our CV's are undetected, so it should be a suprise. Pity one of our CV's is in Dry dock.
A few days ago we reviewed our air production, partially in light of information appearing in the main forums, and partly because as the "short game" bit of expansion was up it was time to think more long term.
Overall we have done well to date, we probably overbuilt Zero production a bit, and the Lilly's should have been moved to Helen earlier (but engines were lacking), and buit more Nells, not Betty's for the G3M3 version. Oscars and the other key aircraft are about right. Engines are still tight and are our real constraint.
We are now preparing for bringing Tojo on line (But no Tonies), with Frank and George our real focus to try and bring forward. We have dropped some A6M2 production to increase the M3 version, then will switch the others to M3a.

IMO, you need to reduce them both to just one each.
Kuriles - This may be considered gamey, but I did it in my game. I moved a small AA unit to a base. This allowed me to use PP to change it from 5th Fleet back to the restricted Home Island command. Then, I changed the Kurile island base to a the Home Islands restricted command. Now I can base the Home Island restricted air units on that particular base in the Kuriles. It seems strange that those Home Island air units can be transferred to Formosa, if they have the range, but not the Kuriles. This is my work around. I know others have done this before.

Well the ambush of the enemy CV's happens almost as expected... we didn't get a single hit Our attack was broken up a bit due to bad weather. Lots of aircraft lost on both sides, and no damage. Some more Zero and Kates are flown out, we will pull back a couple of hexes and see if we can pick something off...

However they attempt to protect a large convoy at Cox's Bazaar fails... although we take moderate losses.

Despite the two lots of Naval Bombardment Cox's Bazaar reaches a Lvl 1 airfield. Slowly they will out build us. Need to finish off Java to free up the bombers. Another Air HQ and more air support is on the way to Burma. Mandalay makes a level 5 airfield (it is a 4 fort).
