The manual says that there is a tutorial "on the disk" but I can't find it. What is the best way to learn the game.

Sorry, stupid question I know. Thanks, k

Best way is to start with a small scenario (Coral Sea) and learn the base mechanics of the game...then, when you feel confortable enough, jump into a bigger one and so on...untill you're ready for the gran campaign and for a Pbem

The manual is incorrect; there is no tutorial (a huge omission, IMO). The best way to get familiar with WITP:AE is to play the shorter scenarios first, in order of length.

jklilly,

Above suggestions are great and I agree. Get the mechanics and basics down with a short scenerio and do try to play both sides as they are dramitically different. Start with allies. Just dont do what I did and wait forever to get into a PBEM. I did the AI for years before I felt that I could give someone a good game and got into PBEM. I will say that the game is infinantly more enjoyable as PBEM so take the plunge once you are ready. Just let someone know that it is your first PBEM and they will probably give you some tutoring along the way. When you get to that point if you want, send me a PM and I will walk you through it.
