OOB selection error

Post by Lieste »

In a custom scenario, I have a generically titled Infanterie Division and It's base unit.

By error I made both share the same 'name' "ID"

When either is selected from the Map it highlights ID (HQ) in the OOB tab. When either tab is clicked in the OOB, it highlights the ID (Base) icon on map, and the ID (HQ) entry on the OOB tab. Which is a little confusing :) - Took me a while to figure out what it was doing. (Organic or Player structure in force).

With Op-Plan structures it correctly identifies the Base or HQ if the base has been hived off.

Trivial to fix prior to starting the scenario again, and not exactly a game-breaker, but worth putting on the list (and also remembering not to do when creating a scn) [8|]

Just to confirm. It's the unit name field entered in the ScenMaker that you're talking about?

Yes. I goofed by having two entities with exactly the same name, but different functions. Should have been 26th VGD HQ and 26th VGD Echelon respectively.

They also share the counter 'name' "ID" as well - should have been made 26 and 26 - there are also some more '26' units as well, just to add to the confusion :)
The 'fun' of evolving test scenarios :) - originally just a test for broken down artillery Bn and Bn level supply columns...

Counter:Title - Corrected Counter:Corrected Name
ID:ID - 26:26th VGD HQ
ID:ID - 26:26th VGD Echelon
