Which air units to put in night mission ?

Can't find the answer in the rules book. Having red "Stalingrad" from A. Beavor...it seems that the russian bombers were bombing the germans mostly during the night. In the scenario "operation blue", I did put all my level bombers to night mission. Should I do the same for the tactical ones ?

I can only speak for the GC, but my SB-2, IL-2, Su-2, Pe-2 and the like are on day missions

U-2VS, Ar-2, IL-4, TB-3 are on night missions

The big bombers on are on night missions and based in VVS bases for the idea of partisan supply and they don't get shot down in droves at night

thanks. I did not play the board game "air force" since twenty years, remember to know by heart all the characteristics of the planes involved in WW2 but all is there in this incredible game.

I use everything but the NBAP U2VS units on day missions. With enough escorts, big bombers, or any bombers for that matter, rarely get shot down in droves, they make many raids per turn and cause terrible damage.

for me all U2-VS & some DB3 for supply in night mission
others in day generally first to become Guards are IL4
