Green Lantern movie and the RING

Post by Titanwarrior89 »

One of the better Comic Book Movies. Which I normally don't like. Most of them look like more of a video game with humans thrown in.

I would give it a 8.5 out of ten.

If you had the RING what would you do with it? I have a BOSS at work that I would put a GAG in his mouth until I could retire.[:D]

This may have a mild spoiler so read at your own risk.

It has gotten nothing but bad reviews. I saw this yesterday and I will say that it is not a bad movie. In fact the only problem with the movie, really, is that it isn't a great movie. I think that the big problem is that it never realizes its potential. Green Lantern is a difficult character. The idea of a superhero that derives his powers from 'will' is something that is difficult to comprehend. I think the movie overcomes this hurdle, for the most part. In places the dialogue is filled with a little too much schmaltz. But it is a comic book after all. Some of the scenes where Hal Jordan is 'finding himself' are a little slow also. On the whole I didn't feel that I wasted my money.

Go and see the movie expecting to be entertained. If you go into it expecting a kind of religious experience you will be let down. And there is nothing wrong with being simply entertained.

I wasn't impressed with the TV commercials for it. Looked like it would be just one of those sad green screen movies that looks way too fake. I suppose though if you want the same real feeling that a comic book gives, it might not disappoint.

The trailers and reviews didn't look look good. But it was an entertaining movie not as good as Thor or Xmen

The Green Lantern movie was a bit of a letdown. I was expecting a lot more from this franchise.

It was ok, and I like supporting movies that you can take your kid to without feeling bad. The good guy prevails and evil is destroyed.

Agree it was just entertaining, and that's ok.
