How are pictures handled in those eBooks (and are there any or is it always just pure text)?

Very nice. The DX has the new improved eInk Pearl screen with 50% better contrast over other Kindles. See for yourself. Shattered Sword has alot of pics to go with the text.

BTW, I looked in Wikipedia for Kindle and your KindleDX is considered mix ox 2nd and 3ed generation whilst pure 3rd generation should be newer than your KindleDX.

Is this correct?

Also is it correct that your KindleDX (i.e. mix of 2nd and 3rd generation) has better picture quality than pure newer 3rd generation Kindle?

Ehh... someone did.  The ONE week I needed mine to come through.  This guy and myself have been tied for first all year.  I get beat 3-5 he had 32 runs I had 30, I had 47 ks to his 49.....you catch my drift...
