Just back from the doctor. Shoulder is healing fine; 30% back in place, may get to 50%. Golfing in August? I'll just have to wait and see.
Rain cool 70F (barely) yesterday with a total from the weekend 1-3/4" of rain. Now I believe summer is about to begin.[8D]

Thanks for info Nik!

BTW, I looked in Wikipedia for Kindle and your KindleDX is considered mix ox 2nd and 3ed generation whilst pure 3rd generation should be newer than your KindleDX.

Is this correct?

Also is it correct that your KindleDX (i.e. mix of 2nd and 3rd generation) has better picture quality than pure newer 3rd generation Kindle?

Leo "Apollo11"

No. I played around with the Kindle 3 before finding a store that had the DX. The DX is 3rd generation and has the improved eInk Pearl screen with 50% better contrast. The difference was marked from the K3 i looked at. While the added crispness was a bonus, ultimately what sold the DX for me was the size. A 6inch reader display is fine for paperback books.......not so for one used to Textbooks and Hardcovers...+ the increased size allows me to use the QWERTY keyboard as a typist. I can write notes very fast using it and I also like the improved menu setup using a mini-joystick....makes navigating to certain words and paragraphs a snap for highlighting.

I just bought a new book titled Neptune's Inferno The U.S. Navy at Guadalcanal by James D. Hornfischer. I will give a report later.

TAKE IT BACK

get a refund. It is awful.

Now now...it isn't for bland historians. Other's might like it's anecdotal nature.

I hope they like the gross errors too. [:)]

The free Demo is in fact unlimited barebones Retail version now - you just have 2 aircraft (one for each side)! [:)]

If you wish you can buy all other aircraft to accompany free Demo... [;)]
