You don't check up on Emperor Fred for a couple of weeks and he goes off and gets killed. It's like the Hibiki all over again.

Fyi, it's an aar in Distant Worlds.

Interesting! Not very many planes to fly though.....where's my Fokker DVII?

It's in the retail version. I'm sure you can buy it as add-on for the demo.

Do I infer correctly that you own the retail version then? And could provide a recommendation?

Morning tithe... Bloody -2.5 outside (but nice and warm in here), with a breeze worse than my Mother-in-law's tongue lashing.

Nein. I just read the blurb on the website.

I've started a project where I'm actually going to try and play some of the games I've bought, rather than buy new ones. Crazy, I know...

Just to let you guys know, stay clear of SubCaptain, who is posting in the opponents wanted subforum.  He's the same guy (email address) that I started my first WitP PBEM game with, and he disappeared after about 2 months, refusing to answer any of my emails.  I later found out that he had also done the same thing to RogueUSMC who used to be a regular around here.

He's not trouble like Japan, so I don't want to post a "challenge" in his threads or anything, but he's a loser that I would not wish any of my Brothers to get burned by.

I am sorry that you feel this way, I have been plagued with several bouts of illness that created my having to withdrawal several times. I can certainly stop playing the game until my health improves in fairness to everyone and to earn a better reputation. My apologies to all who feel this way.

I to have had health issues, and have had put on hold, or withdraw from my PBEM games in the past. But I have always informed my opponents what was happening. To get a WitP-AE grand-campaign up and running takes a lot of time and effort. Then for your opponent to disappear without word, and then not answer your contacts is a huge let-down.

My advice would be that if you a truly genuine about starting a new PBEM campaign, and would like to start again with a clean slate. First apologise to the people you let down, then post for a new opponent stating what has happened in the past. Than If you are lucky enough to attract a new opponent, treat them with the respect they deserve.

Of course you should not stop playing games. You should treat your partners/opponents with a little bit of respect and reply to their emails and let them know if you will no longer be able to play, even if you can't do it until you get back on the forums months later. [8|]
