It looks very "PG"!

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Thanks Tim! Panzer-corps.com won't load, but you answered my main question about the game.

Yeah, noticed it when posting, the website stuck in a back-up loop, so solved now and the website is online again!

Indeed PGF is great, and Alex made a great job there, but after playing beta PzC I can only say it's harder to go back and play PGF. Alex has done also a great job in PzC. [:)]

I agree that there is no going back to PGF. EVER. PC is polished, fun and addictive.

Tim,

I read though the web site development diaries and learned a lot. It looks like a very cool game and now I am
dying to buy it!

I've just finished Battle of France and after a couple hours whole my backs and neck are pain. I lost the sense of time and forget the right posture in front of monitor. Mea culpa.
And no, I'm not teasing you. Soon we beta testers will be without our daily shot and will have to go through the withdrawal symptoms until the game is release.

I keep getting neck aches too. For me this bring back the days of CIV3 and the original Panzer General. One thing that adds to this addiction are the battlefield medals, which can increase in strength for the unit receiving the citation. And as stated earlier I love the random bonus units given when you least expect them.

Funny, my neck aches also begun with CIV, only it was the first one back in 91.
Yes the medals and the heroes help in building up the immersion. We feel more sentimental attached to the veteran units.

Sorry.
But it's not also easy for us, to restrain our... hype.
You see, I'm quite curious with what kind of community it will grown around PzC. Specially the modder one.
With future Slitherine's expansions and support, plus mods, I'm just predicting a brilliant future for this game.
Yes, I'm hyped and can't wait the release day.

I fear we will be crushed from the regular players. I do decent at PGF, but I still want to play against raw recruits like myself with PC when it releases...yes release under two weeks now[8D]

Oh, don't you worry. Soon you'll catch us. We, beta testers, don't know everything about the game. There are things that we only know by assuming; the specifics only the developer team knows. So we'll only have the advantage at the very beginning. And because you'll become inevitably addicted to PzC, soon you'll have enough hours of gameplay to beat us. [;)]

Oh how true that we do not know everything about the game. I became so engrossed the first time I played the game I must admit I have not dug to deeply into the engine. I had several hours of work today that I had put off and a deadline was approaching. Yet I could not wait to finish and fire up PC. TEASE TEASE.
