Designer Tom Porto email address

Post by BigDuke66 »

Does anyone have the current email address of Tom Porto(Designer of "Home Before The Leaves Fall")?
The last I have is SPzAbt501@aol.com but I only get a MAILER-DAEMON message back.

You might try: spzabt501@comcast.net which is the last I've got, Duke. It comes from a post of 23 Aug 10.

I'd remind you that 'emails' don't like capitals, LOL!

Well as I mailed him he told me this:
***
Version 2.0 is the most current and maybe the last. I've thought about doing a 2.5km/hex expansion, and even a 5km/hex "what-if" assuming the war didn't begin until 1916, but I doubt they'll ever get done.

HBTLF, was done many years ago, and I doubt it's as good as many other scenarios out there right now. I've learned a lot since then about TOAW, but even though I've gotten the latest updates for the game, it's currently not installed on my computer. I've been following the "Berlin 1945" scenario that is under development on the forums, and I really hope it gets finished. Something like that would get me to reinstall TOAW.

Thanks for pointing to this video, seems to be a very impressive documentary and despite the fact of being very old is still one of the top WW1 documentaries.

Btw does anyone now what type the gun at 8:27-8:29 is? Never have seen this kind of "swinging" artillery.

'...Upon being fired, the gun moved back for some distance before swinging down behind the parapet to permit the gun crew to load the weapon out of sight of enemy guns...' They call it a disappearing gun...
