Just installed Maga Update and now game wont run

Fresh install of CCCOI then installed mega update

Get to the first splash screen click PLAY Close Combat Cross of Iron

Almost immediately get "Unable to get format on Stream" error

Windows 7 64

Set to run as administrator and windows XP SP3 compatibility (also tried without either of thes and get same result)

I installed the mega update and no problems. Win 7 64bit nvidia latest beta driver 275.5 with a geforce GTX 470.

.try holding down ctrl when you launch.

then turn off videos

alternatively

download the intel codec from CSO Downloads in command centre

Command Centre\CSO Downloads\Utiliteis\ Intel Codec for CoI

then run that before launching. (only needs to be run once)

Thanks, disabling the video allowed me to launch the game but the codec did not work for me.  (Gave me some error messages when I tried to install it)  I would like to be able to watch the video if possible.

It's just possible that the vids have not been updated with the mega update.


you should be able to view them here with VLC or windows media player

C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\VIDEOS\  and open the .avi files

or try installing the codec in compatibility mode... might work.

I get sound but no video with windows media player.

What is the "valid reason" I need to enter in the "other:" box? I try but it always says "Please provide a valid reason!" and nothing I enter ever works.
