Defensive Strengths of Static Equipment

Hi
With the latest patch we have received:
"Defender terrain effects on defense factors are now combined with defender deployment effects on defense factors (but only as the “Square Root of the Sum of the Squares”, not linearly)."

In the What's New pdf there is a small table(p.7) with values for infantry & vehicle defensive strength's but what about the defensive strengths of static equipment?
Is the rule above also used and if so what terrain used or is it still like described in the manual(p.75)?
