I got an email from Marshall yesterday. His other job has get him working long hours. He says he should have some time to devote to EIA next week and the week after.

For the Dip phase does Spain still have to go last - I remember a discussion on this a while ago but can't find it.

Yes. Too quiet. My guess is that this has run its course and we will be lucky to see any new patches.

I hope not. My group has tried playing with 1.8.04 and 1.8.05 BETA and found both to be too cumbersome and too buggy. We are still waiting on a version that's worth the original price tag of the game.

v1.08.06 continues development.  Marshall HAS made some recent updates (see Mantis change log) but his day job commitments are keeping him busy.  This has been slow, but lately moreso than usual?

I gather from reading posts here that the patch 1.08.05 is an important one I love the topic and scale and am holding back here before I purchase. I have heard great things about the board game version and was hoping to hear how close this game comes to it? Also are there basic platform stablity issues on this one. To honest I know the time committment involved in these games ( I have UV and WITP-AE ) and am 60 yo and do not want to waste my time and efforts on a game that does not fly Can someone guide me here?
PS I play board games and currently playing Nappy Was by GMT and enjoy that ( realize EIA is more detailed)

If you're going to play PBEM then I believe, in it's 1.08.05 state, from what I hear, it's worth it. If you're playing solo then no, stay away. JMO.

That is correct for 1.08.05. It has been fixed in the 1.08.06
