Realistic SW Death Star Super Laser graphic?

Post by Caesar_Augustus »

OK, so I was doing a little bit of graphic experimentation to try and develop a more Star Wars canon, realistic-looking
Death Star laser blast... and have come up with unsatisfactory results.

I am not at all sure this is possible graphically, given the game parameters, but I think I have made certain progress.

Still, I am more than happy to let more savvy modders give me suggestions.
Besides, a more realistic DS blast would be... well... a real blast! [:D]

Well, the coming expansion is said to have proper (cutting) beams. If nothing else, death start laser may be doable editing them.
Nothing is impossible, not if you can imagine it!

It's not really possible right now, Caesar. I've tried also, but with no success.

As J says, the next expansion should have cutting beams, which means, Death Star or Star Trek style Phaser arrays.[:)]
