Question about zones

Post by Mannock »

The editor manual says, on page 8, that zones will be explored further down in the manual, but I can't find any information about it.

So could anyone explain zones to me?

And since I am creating a scenario to be fitted into the campaign I know I need to mark hexes where the player's core units can be placed. I think that's the green or grey "plane and tank icon", correct? But what is the difference between the two?

And is that in any way connected to the zones mentioned above?
Always from below, seldom on the same level and never from above. - Mannock revised.

Placing units is only used in a campaign.

Grey Axis Green Allied

Assign a zone to any hex or hexes you want. Then define what you want to do.

RE: Question about zones

Zones are used in triggers, and triggers are used in victory conditions and in actions. For example, in Hunters in the Atlantic scenario GB wins if it lands a certain number of units on the british island. How is it done? The british island is marked as a certain zone, and then victory condition is "when the number of GB units in that zone is more than X".

Yes, deployment hexes are marked with those gray/green tank/plane icons. Deployment hexes for ground and air units are marked separately, hence tank/plane icons. Color indicates side, as Razz has already explained.
