I can see AI's turn...

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

I can see AI's turn...

Post by hhsohn »

I've been playing Watchword Freedom campaign with couple of PBEM games going on on the side, but sometimes when I play the campaign against the AI, I can see AI's moves and positions during its turn. Any idea how to fix this?

Oh yeah, and at each beginning of my turn, I get this screen that you would normally get only after deployment. One that gives you the option of starting your turn, save turn, exit orders (?), quit game.

It kinda takes the fun out of the cursing and gnashing of the teeth to come...

It could be that your steel.prf file is screwed up. That could be causing that screen to appear.

If you delete it, put it into the recycle bin. That way if the game makes a new one (which it will), it may interfere with your PBEM games. In which case, restore it back into your save directory.

In campaigns, however, you always get those screens at the beginning of each battle after deployment. That is so you can save the beginning of each battle should you want to start it again, hhsohn.

Units being visible, I cannot say. I've not seen this nor had it reported by the numerous testers that worked on this one.

I've noticed the same occurrence in SP3 and SPWAW....

from time to time during the AI's move, units that would normally be invisible to me are shown. just a curious happening i guess... It seems to be semi-random.
