Secondary Objectives: How do they work

Didn't see anything specific on this skimming through the manuals. And I haven't encountered a secondary objective yet in game. How do secondary objectives work in the game? Are they worth more prestiege? If you capture secondary objectives do they count toward the victory hex count?

tHE PROBLEM IS A PLAYER CAN NOT DISTINGUISH THEM ON THE MAP.

tThey should have a border around them in strategic view.

In Operation Zitadell the German player can win without them but the Russian player needs to hold X secondary objectives for a win. So this makes the German player consider by passing a primary objective in order to prevent a Russian win.

The problem is the secondary objectives are out of the way. So the German player has to divide his forces, which in turn gives the Russian player breathing room and possibilities for counter strikes.
