Spotting

Post by terje439 »

A unit with spotting of 2, does that;
a) spot 2 hexes away from the unit,
b) or are the hexes surrounding the unit counted as the "0" spotting?
Reason I ask is that I see the AI attacking units it is not supposed to be spotting if "a" is correct. Might be the AI is cheating though?

There are no cheats in the AI engine, although there might be a bug somewhere. But I have seen the AI being ambushed many times, both on the ground and in the air, and so the situation cannot be that bad. ;)

As for spotting, spotting of 2 means that you will spot any enemy unit separated from you with one hex. Just watch out how FoW changes when you are moving your own units, you will see how spotting works.

It's possible the AI moved other units (high recon) that picked up your hiding unit, but due to your own FoW you could not see the other unit spotting you.

maybe the ai just moved its unit to that point and when it gets there it sees your unit and then decides to attack, instead of moving there specifically to attack that unit

It is really my honor to have this opportunity for a interview,
Birds may face dangers in their everyday lives both while eating, flying, or perching. The danger may be from one of their own kind who feels his territory has been invaded.

Other dangers include larger birds who will kill and eat smaller birds, squirrels who raid the bird feeders, insects who invade hummingbird feeders, and windows which appear invisible to birds in flight.

Here are some ways to combat the problematic situations, making your birdfeeders some of the most popular and most frequented in the neighborhood, resulting in hours of birdwatching fun for you and your family.
