Boxed Edition

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Boxed Edition

Post by Greybriar »

Being the creature of habit that I am, I ordered the Boxed Collector's Edition of Panzer Corps. The postman delivered it to my home in this morning's mail. As expected, my order consisted of a CD and a full color printed paper manual in a plastic case. The reason I ordered the physical edition of the game was to get a paper manual, and the one I received is an attractive one although rather brief compared to the old Panzer General manuals (it is 36 pages long counting the covers).

In addition, this is the first game I have ever purchased that has my name on the game CD. My previous purchases have been from sources such as the NWS Online Gaming Store and did not have my name on the game CDs.

Very nice. Pity it wasn't clear from the beginning that the boxed version was a Collectors Edition - if it was, then also being a creature of habit I'd have bought the boxed copy. [:@]

True that. I didn't know it was a Collector's Edition when I ordered Panzer Corps since it had the Digital Express logo on its product page. It was only in the Product Specs that it stated: "Manual: PDF E-Book, Printed - Color" and even then I wasn't sure. But there was one thing I was sure of--if I did not buy the Boxed Edition, there was no chance of getting anything more than a .pdf file of the manual. So for an extra $10 I took a chance.

And for once I won!

I'll be interesting to see whether my NWS order has my name on the disc or not. WitE had Chris's name on it, but Hannibal: Rome and Carthage had my name on the disc to my suprise.

Just got my boxed edition in the mail today, and was pleasantly surprised to see my name printed directly on the CD. Certainly makes it special, thanks.

I got my boxed edition today and what I want to know is... How the hell will I be able bootleg a bazillion copies when my name is plastered all over the damn disk?  Huh?  I mean, really.  Too bloody much if you ask me.

I got mine today and I am very happy! Gorgeous on my shelf!

It was not damaged, but it did come in a USPS this envelope like last time with no padding at all. No bubble wrap either. So, they are still vulnerable to damage to the box in transit like happened to me when I bought John Tiller's Campaign Series. My box was stepped on and broken.

Nice color manual. Thanks Matrix/Slitherine

Now you need to offer battle maps like the old 360 VfV series.

Can't let you guys off the hook to easy.
